We are delighted to welcome 15 new residents to our diagnostic radiology and integrated IR residency programs.

The UCSF Radiology and Biomedical Imaging department celebrates National Mentoring Month in January. The department's formal mentoring program, managed by the Academic Affairs team, aims to demystify the academic process for junior faculty members and ensure that they are well-supported in their careers.

Each year, during the first week of November, we observe National Radiologic Technology Week (NRTW) to recognize and celebrate our imaging technologists.

UCSF Medical Center’s sonographers have been very hard at work. The department encourages staff to obtain additional certifications to enhance patient care and several have succeeded in becoming Registered Musculoskeletal Sonographers (RMSKS™).

The National Institute of Health’s (NIH) National Institute on Minority Health and Health Disparities (NIMHD) awards diversity supplements to increase diversity in the research.

The Minnies are an initiative by AuntMinnie.com to celebrate outstanding contributions and achievements in the field of medical imaging. The Minnies recognize and honor professionals who have made significant contributions in various categories, from research and education to leadership and innovation. This year's semifinalists include faculty, trainees, and staff of the UCSF Department of Radiology & Biomedical Imaging.

The UC San Francisco Department of Radiology and Biomedical Imaging would like to thank our outstanding radiology residents for their dedication, focus and outstanding work over the past four years. We are proud of all that they have accomplished as residents and look forward to their contributions in the coming year.

On March 24, the Bay Area Young Investigators Meeting for Nuclear Imaging and Therapy met as part of the annual COBRA series.
