The 17th Annual Imaging Research Symposium was held virtually for the first itme on Wednesday, October 14, 2020. Each year, the symposium is open to all in the UCSF and scientific communities to highlight the breadth and depth of innovative research being done in the department.

The UC San Francisco Department of Radiology and Biomedical Imaging offers eight clinical fellowships, including neuroradiology. Nine ACGME neuroradiology fellowship positions are offered each year.

As we close out the 2019-20 academic year, it’s a great time here at the UC San Francisco Department of Radiology and Biomedical Imaging to celebrate graduates and also see the results from our four T32 scholars.
As a pediatric radiologist and associate professor of radiology, Dr. Jesse Courtier's experience with 3D printing led to researching the potential application of augmented reality (AR) technology for improved patient care. He and Dr. Ben Laguna work closely in developing AR technology to be used in clinical and research settings.
UCSF Radiology would like to congratulate and recognize Andreas Rauschecker, MD, PhD, clinical fellow, on receiving the 2019-2020 UCSF Inquiry Curriculum Long-Term Mentor Award. He was nominated by his mentee, Carol Tran.

Parental leave policies are a frequent topic in the news, including in the field of internal medicine. Kirti Magudia, MD, PhD, recently reviewed a study that found that most internal medicine program directors (PDs) misinterpret American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) leave policies for resident physicians.
