Enrique Menendez, MD, director of research administration at the UC San Francisco Department of Radiology and Biomedical Imaging will retire on September 2, 2020. The entire department recognizes Dr. Menendez for his unconditional dedication, compassion and congeniality.

Tatiana Kelil, MD, has been selected as a John A. Watson Faculty Scholar for the 2020-21 academic year. Dr. Kelil is an assistant professor of clinical radiology in the UC San Francisco Department of Radiology and Biomedical Imaging.

Commencement 2020 was held on June 5, 2020 with a virtual ceremony. The UC San Francisco Department of Radiology and Biomedical Imaging would like to take this opportunity to congratulate graduates and recognize the following individuals who received awards at Commencement 2020. 

June is Alumni Month at UC San Francisco. This year, the Department of Radiology and Biomedical Imaging recognized Vickie Feldstein, MD, professor of clinical radiology, as the 2020 recipient of our Outstanding Alumni Award.

June 2020 marks the 50th anniversary of LGBTQ+ Pride traditions. Though traditional in-person Pride festivities may be cancelled this year, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we used UCSF Radiology staff, nurses and trainees to share their thoughts on what Pride means to them.

This year, the department is happy to announce that Lindsay Lawless, RN, was selected as a Daisy Nurse Award recipient.

The UC San Francisco Department of Radiology and Biomedical Imaging would like to congratulate K. Pallav Kolli, MD, Vishal Kumar, MD, Evan Lehrman, MD, R. Peter Lokken, MD and Andrew Taylor, MD, PhD, members of the Society of Interventional Radiology (SIR) Fellowship (FSIR) Class of 2020.

Srikantan Nagarajan, PhD has been inducted into the American Institute for Medical and Biological Engineering (AIMBE) College of Fellows. 

This month, UCSF Medical Center announced that patients can now see radiographic studies including X-rays, MRIs, CT scans and some ultrasounds on MyChart.
