UCSF Radiology’s 2021 Annual Review CME Conference to be Hosted Live Online

Virtual continuing medical education (CME) courses provide a flexible, user-friendly way for learners with limited time to follow and comply with COVID-19 travel restrictions, keep up with CME requirements and still learn from top radiology experts. In 2021, we will host our UCSF Radiology Annual Review live online from January 11 –15, 2021. The live, interactive virtual conference will be taught by 50 UCSF Radiology faculty and will review the fundamentals of the major organ systems and corresponding imaging modalities (CT/ MR/ US/ DSA/ Mammography/Tomosynthesis/Fluoro/ X-rays).

1. What is the format of this year’s live virtual UCSF Radiology Annual Review?

The live, interactive virtual conference will consist of case-based, in-depth sessions on diseases of the major organ systems, as well as shorter focused lectures on physics, radiology safety, cardiac, nuclear medicine and interventional procedures that are relevant to the general radiologist and radiologist-in-training.

The course will include an hour-long session of 100 multiple-choice questions on the Non-Interpretive Skills relevant to radiology trainees. To facilitate learning, all lectures will include rapid-fire cases and/or multiple-choice questions (MCQ), as well as “MCQ Galore” sessions that emphasize basic radiology principles in a fast-paced, question format that will be of clinical value to the radiologist on-call and in-training.

2. Will this virtual CME activity be the same high quality as in-person programming?

Of course! The same quality educational content will be presented in an online setting by UCSF Radiology faculty experts. 3. What credits will I earn if I attend this year’s live virtual UCSF Radiology Annual Review?

UCSF designates this live activity for a maximum of 37.75 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits.™ Physicians should claim only the credits commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity. The total credits are inclusive of 12.0 in CT, 9.0 in MR, 4.75 in Ultrasound, 3.5 in Breast Imaging, and 2.0 in Nuclear Medicine (PET). Note that the UCSF School of Medicine is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

4. Will content be available on demand after the course?

Yes! Included in your registration fee is access to the course recordings on demand for 30 days after the course (you must log-in during the daily live sessions broadcast to gain access). All registrants will receive a webinar log-in link the week of the course. You will enter your full name and email address to “log-in” and authenticate yourself. Once completed, you will have access to the conference, and the system will email you an individualized access link to join the webinar at any time. This link is valid for each day.
