Michael D. Hope, MD has been appointed as the new Chief of Radiology at the San Francisco VA Medical Center, effective March 1, 2018.

Peter Callen, MD came West from Chicago to UC San Francisco in 1969 as a first-year medical student. Now a professor emeritus, he can look back on a five-decade career that includes authorship of the most trusted ultrasound textbook of all time, Callen’s Ultrasonography in Obstetrics and Gynecology.

Dr. Michael Evans was recently awarded a research grant that aims to develop new drugs to more effectively treat or eliminate tuberous sclerosis complex, or TSC. The research team has developed an innovative strategy that will allow them to screen for antibody fragments specific for cells lacking TSC1 or TSC2.
