RSNA 2011: Exciting Refreshers, Interesting Presentations, and More!
RSNA 2011 is right around the corner and the UCSF Department of Radiology and Biomedical Imaging is excited to announce our involvement. The Radiological Society of North America (RSNA) hosts the annual conference of over 47,000 medical imaging professionals. RSNA 2011, the largest medical meeting in the world, will be held on November 27 through December 2 in Chicago, Illinois.
A number of UCSF radiologists will be on site presenting refresher courses and scientific formal presentations, ranging from emergency neuroradiology and prostate cancer screening to osteoporosis and CT dose optimization. The full list of presentation topics is included below.
Additionally, we are proud to announce that UCSF faculty member Benjamin Yeh, MD, will be representing UCSF Imaging as the Gastrointestinal Subcommittee Chair for RSNA 2011. According to Dr. Yeh, “CT dose reduction and improved imaging of liver disease are the main focus of this year’s abstracts" in the category of gastrointestinal imaging.
This years RSNA Meeting Program is being dedicated to the memory of T. Hans Newton, M.D., a neuroradiology pioneer, influential UCSF educator, and founder of the neuroradiology section at UCSF, who died in June 2010.
