Center of Research Translation for the Study of Osteoarthritis
Center of Research Translation for the Study of Osteoarthritis (CORT). Our goals are to translate new non-invasive quantitative imaging biomarkers that describe the biological processes in osteoarthritis, from proof of principle to studies in humans and widely available clinical tools directly impacting patient care, and to develop models and relationships between the quantitative imaging measures and functional biomechanics, not only for monitoring and diagnosing osteoarthritis, but also for assessing pharmaceutical or surgical therapies and interventions.
