Dr. Recht joined NYU in 2008 as the Louis Marx Professor and Chairman of the Department of Radiology. Previously, he was Chairman of the Department of e-Radiology and Business Development of the Cleveland Clinic’s Imaging Institute. He received his MD, AOA, from the University of Pennsylvania’s School of Medicine. He did his residency at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania where he was chief resident. He has completed three fellowships including interventional radiology, magnetic resonance imaging and musculoskeletal radiology.
Dr. Recht is a member of several societies, most notably the International Skeletal Society, which awarded him its prestigious President’s Award. He serves as a Reviewer for several journals and is an Editorial Board Member ofSkeletal RadiologyandSeminars in Musculoskeletal Radiology. He has published extensively, most notably on MR imaging of articular cartilage, and has delivered numerous invited lectures both domestically and internationally.
