RUTH B. GOLDSTEIN, MD, is Chief of the ultrasound subspecialty at UCSF and a Professor of Clinical Radiology. Recognized for her work in fetal diagnosis and fetal central nervous system anomalies, Dr. Goldstein is an active member of the UCSF Fetal Treatment Center. Dr. Goldstein received her medical degree from UCSF in 1979. She completed an internship at the University of Minnesota and a fellowship in nuclear medicine at Michael Reese Hospital and Medical Center. She returned to UCSF in 1982 and completed her Radiology Residency in 1985 after serving as Chief Resident in 1984. She completed a fellowship in Ultrasound at UCSF and was appointed to the faculty in 1986.

HANMIN LEE, MD, is a Professor of Surgery, Chief of Pediatric Surgery, Surgeon-in-chief of UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital and Director of the Fetal Treatment Center at UCSF. He is the Second Director in the 25+ year history of the Fetal Treatment Center, replacing Dr. Michael Harrison who continues to add his creative energies as Director Emeritus. Dr. Lee completed both his Medical School and General Surgery residency at New York University. He did two years of postdoctoral research training under the mentorship of Dr. Jay Vacanti at Harvard Medical School and a two-year Pediatric Surgery Fellowship at Emory University Medical Center before becoming faculty in the Department of Surgery at UCSF in 2000.
