Interpreting CTC Images

Two ways to read CTC: primary 2D and primary 3D. Both skills are necessary as you can use both 2D and 3D complementary.

Polyps are typically soft tissue density and are ovoid in morphology. ACR practice guidelines recommends that for the diminutive polyps that are less than or equal 5, that you do not report them. However, anything between 6-9mm is considered large and anything greater than that is also considered large. However, flat lesions are tough for CTC and colonoscopy so the use the soft tissue windows makes it easier to identify flat lesions.
