Ron Zagoria, MD graduated from the Johns Hopkins University and the University of Maryland School of Medicine.  He then completed his radiology residency and a fellowship in abdominal and interventional radiology at Wake Forest University School of Medicine (formerly called the Bowman Gray School of Medicine). He is now a Professor with tenure in Radiology, the Institute for Regenerative Medicine and Urology at Wake Forest School of Medicine.  He is the Executive Vice Chairman and the Chief of GU Imaging and intervention in the Radiology Department.  In addition to authoring over 130 journal articles, 7 textbooks and many book chapters, he was the Associate Editor of the AJR and is now the Editor-in-Chief of the journal Emergency Radiology.  Dr. Zagoria has received research funding for 15 projects.  He is a fellow in the American College of Radiology, the Society of Abdominal Radiology and the European Society of Uroradiology.  He was the President of Society of Uroradiology from mid 2011 – mid 2012, and is now on the Board of Directors for the Society of Abdominal Radiology. His main research interests are imaging of renal tumors, CT of the urinary tract, and thermal ablation of renal tumors.
