Postdoctoral Candidate Lecture, Dr. Carissa Lew, PhD

Dr. Lew received a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the University of California, Berkeley.  She gained industry experience in computer-aided design at Silicon Graphics before beginning graduate studies in Electrical Engineering at Stanford University.  She performed her doctoral studies in the laboratory of Dr. Daniel Spielman, concentrating on MRI, parallel imaging with multiple receivers, cardiovascular imaging, flow, and image reconstruction.  After completing her M.S. and Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering in 2007, Dr. Lew worked as a software engineer in industry, focusing on firmware development for the aerospace industry. She will present her thesis work on parallel imaging and reconstruction methods for MRI.
