Functional MRI of Psychiatric Disorders
Jody Tanabe, MD, is a Professor of Radiology (with courtesy appointment in Psychiatry) at University of Colorado SOM. She completed her medical degree at UCSD, diagnostic radiology residency at Cornell-New York Hospital, and neuroradiology fellowship at UCSF. Her interest in functional MRI in psychiatric disease began during her post-doc fellowship at the SF VAMC where she worked on neuroimaging studies in addiction and dementia. She has served on study section and completed several NIH grants focusing on mechanisms of alcohol and drug use, most recently investigating the effect of DBS in methamphetamine use disorder. She has been Chief of Neuroradiology at CU-Anschutz Medical Center since 2010 and is currently President-elect of the American Society of Functional Neuroradiology (ASFNR).
