Radiology Open Faculty Positions
Abdominal Imaging Radiologist
The Department of Radiology and Biomedical Imaging at the University of California, San Francisco is seeking an Abdominal Imaging Radiologist for a faculty position. The selected candidate will be appointed at the level of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor in the Clinical X, In Residence, or HS Clinical series depending on qualifications and interests.
The selected candidate should demonstrate a commitment to building a strong academic career and to excellence in clinical care, teaching, and research. The candidate will supervise trainees and provide outstanding teaching to medical students, residents, and fellows at a top radiology program in the country. To accomplish this, the department seeks candidates who have clinical expertise in all areas of abdominal imaging, including diagnostic CT, MRI, ultrasound, as well as image-guided biopsies. Experience and interest in obstetric ultrasound would be an additional valuable skill. The selected candidate will provide clinical services primarily at the UCSF Moffitt/Long Hospital but may also include clinical work at other UCSF Health and UCSF affiliated sites.

Breast Imaging Radiologist
The Department of Radiology and Biomedical Imaging is seeking a Breast Imaging Radiologist for a faculty position. The selected candidate will be appointed at the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor in the Clinical X, In Residence, or HS Clinical series depending on qualifications and interests.
Clinical responsibilities encompass all of breast imaging including mammography, breast ultrasound, breast interventional procedures, and breast MRI exams. Faculty are expected to develop a clinical or more basic research program in the area of one's specialty focus. Responsibilities include clinical service, teaching and research. The selected candidate will supervise and teach residents, fellows and medical students in Breast Imaging. Obligations will include work at Mission Bay Hospital/Bakar Precision Cancer Medicine Building but may also include UCSF Moffitt/Long Hospital, UCSF Imaging at Montgomery St, the VA Medical Center, China Basin Outpatient Facility, Berkeley Outpatient Center, Peninsula Outpatient Center and/or Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital, all of which are affiliated teaching, clinical and research facilities of UCSF.
The position requires an MD degree (or equivalent), ability to practice medicine in California, expertise in breast imaging, and completion of fellowship training in breast imaging. Emergency Radiologist
The Department of Radiology and Biomedical Imaging at the University of California, San Francisco is seeking full-time Radiologists to join the expanded Emergency Radiology division serving Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital (ZSFG) and UCSF Parnassus affiliates. This growing section provides consultation and diagnostic services for ZSFG, San Francisco’s only Level I trauma center, Parnassus Emergency room and UCSF acute care clinics. The selected candidates will be appointed at the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor in the Clinical X, In Residence, or HS Clinical series depending on qualifications and interests.
Successful candidates should demonstrate a commitment to excellence in clinical care, teaching, and research with strong interpersonal skills. Faculty in the ER section will be part of an expanded Emergency Radiology division at UCSF. Clinical work will include a combination of remote shifts for weekday and weekend evening ER coverage and in-house weekday shifts, as well as options for internal moonlighting opportunities. Physician schedules will be tailored to optimize job satisfaction and prioritize sustained radiologist and division success.
