Five UCSF Interventional Radiology Faculty Inducted as SIR Fellows
The UC San Francisco Department of Radiology and Biomedical Imaging would like to congratulate K. Pallav Kolli, MD, Vishal Kumar, MD, Evan Lehrman, MD, R. Peter Lokken, MD and Andrew Taylor, MD, PhD, members of the Society of Interventional Radiology (SIR) Fellowship (FSIR) Class of 2020. Fellowship is one of the most prestigious honors granted to SIR's members and international associate members, and is the ultimate recognition of professional achievement in interventional radiology. Selection is based on outstanding achievements, credentials, and community contributions to interventional radiology through their achievements in research, scientific literature, teaching and SIR involvement.
"It is a privilege and honor to work with these outstanding physicians," said Chief of Interventional Radiology, Maureen Kohi, MD, FSIR. "This is a very well-deserved recognition for their many contributions to the field of Interventional Radiology at UCSF and beyond."
Drs. Kolli, Kumar, Lehrman, Lokken and Taylor join a distinguished list that includes Dr. Kohi (Class of 2017), Nicholas Fidelman, MD (Class of 2018), Robert Kerlan, MD, professor emeritus (Class of 1995) and Jeanne Laberge, MD, professor emeritus (Class of 1992).
Dr. Kolli serves as the associate chair of quality for the department. He joined the faculty after completing his Diagnostic Radiology residency at UCSF in 2011, followed by a fellowship in Vascular and Interventional Radiology here in 2012.
Dr. Kumar is the associate program director of the Interventional Radiology Residency Program and the chair of SIR's Student and Resident Committee (SARC). He joined the faculty after completing his Diagnostic Radiology residency at UCSF in 2012, followed by a fellowship in Vascular and Interventional Radiology here in 2013.
Dr. Lehrman is the program director of the Interventional Radiology Residency Program at UCSF. He completed his Vascular and Interventional Radiology fellowship at UCLA in 2012 and joined the faculty in 2015 after completing an Abdominal Imaging fellowship at UCSF.
Dr. Lokken is an Associate Editor for the Journal of Vascular and Interventional Radiology, the scientific journal of the Society for Interventional Radiology. He completed his fellowship in Vascular and Interventional Radiology at UCSF in 2013 and joined the faculty in 2018.
Dr. Taylor is the director of quality for Interventional Radiology. He joined the faculty after completing his Diagnostic Radiology residency at UCSF in 2011, followed by a fellowship in Vascular and Interventional Radiology here in 2012.
