Amy Pradhan, MS, MPH
Biography
Amy Pradhan serves as the Vice-Chair for Administration and Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) for the UCSF Department of Radiology & Biomedical Imaging since April 1, 2023.
Amy is an experienced department administrator with over a decade of service in the Department of Radiology and 15 years total at UCSF. Amy earned a Master of Public Health at San Jose State University and a Master of Science in Healthcare Administration at California State University, East Bay. She also holds credentials as a UCSF DEI Champion and as a member of the 2016 cohort of the School of Medicine’s Leadership Development Program.
During her time in the department, Amy has distinguished herself as an energetic, collaborative, and highly effective leader in her work with faculty and staff. She has been successful in organizing and developing robust processes to improve administrative functions across the department and has collaborated with cross-functional teams in effective change management across the school of medicine. As Director of Academic Affairs, Amy partnered with the Vice-Chair of Academic Affairs to build a world-class academic affairs unit that has been extremely successful in supporting faculty advancement and development, recruiting new faculty, and enhancing our professional environment. Amy has also worked with the Department Chair and UCSF leaders on several initiatives that enhance SOM operations and positively impact faculty, staff and trainees.
As CAO, Amy partners with the Department Chair, faculty leaders, and staff leadership to guide continuous improvement of the department’s strategy, operations, and culture. She works closely with School of Medicine leadership to ensure our department’s sustainable growth across all of the missions; works with Health system leadership to make thoughtful and data-driven investments in operations and resources; and works with faculty and staff to foster a professional culture that encourages opportunities for career growth and inclusion at every level. In each of these areas, Amy’s leadership helps to ensure timely decision-making and smooth administrative functions across faculty affairs, finance, clinical services, education, human resources, and communications.
