RADWomen UCSF: Women in Radiology - "The Intersection of Diversity and Well-being"

Dr. Lori Deitte is a Professor of Radiology, Vice-Chair of Education, and Vice President for Continuous Professional Development. She is active with teaching at all levels: medical students (hands-on ultrasound sessions), residents, fellows, and practicing physicians. Additional interests include curriculum development, faculty development, diversity and inclusion, well-being, and mentoring. Dr. Deitte is a nationally recognized speaker and faculty development facilitator. She has co-authored more than 60 peer-reviewed articles including articles on family/parental leave during residency, diversity related topics, and women in radiology. Additionally, she has given more than 140 invited regional, national and international presentations, including presentations in Romania, Switzerland, Austria, and Israel. Her medical mission work includes two trips to Honduras to teach ultrasound workshops.

Dr. Deitte specializes in body imaging and ultrasound. Her clinical practice includes providing coverage of Vanderbilt’s level I trauma center, with high volume emergency, oncologic, urologic, gynecologic, transplant, and gastrointestinal imaging. She is a regular participant and contributor to Vanderbilt’s multidisciplinary GU Tumor Board.

Dr. Deitte is a member of the American College of Radiology Board of Chancellors as the Chair of the Commission on Publications and Lifelong Learning. She also serves as the co-editor for the column “Civil Discourse” in the Training and Education Section of the Journal of the American College of Radiology.
