Department of Surgery
Diane Ngo works as a program manager in the Department of Surgery overseeing Surgery's Biostatistics Core and the department's research and space infrastructure. Diane is the recipient of UCSF’s 2022 Chancellor Service Award for Exceptional University Service and Chancellor Diversity Award for Disability Service for her work on the Faces of Ability II - Mental Health Resilience campaign. As a polio survivor and an individual living with bipolar disorder, Diane is a lifelong advocate for disability inclusion and mental health awareness.
Office of the Senior Vice Chancellor
Kim LaPean is a mentor, ally, and advocate specializing in humanizing communications for complex environments. Kim started her service career in her family’s small restaurant in Kentucky and found her career passion in higher education. After moving to the Bay Area in 2003, she’s led communications programs at UC Berkeley’s student affairs and health center, then at UCSF in the Office of the Senior Vice Chancellor where she serves as the Director of Communications and Engagement.
