Congyu Liao is an Instructor in the Division of Radiological Sciences Laboratory (RSL). Dr. Liao received his PhD in Biomedical Engineering from Zhejiang University in China in 2018. Following the completion of his PhD, he was appointed Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Massachusetts General Hospital/Harvard Medical School under Kawin Setsompop, PhD, where his research was focused on improving the efficiency of data acquisition/reconstruction in MRI. In 2021, he came to Stanford to join Dr. Setsompop’s lab as a Postdoctoral Scholar in RSL where his research is focused on developing new technology for diffusion and quantitative MRI.  Dr. Liao has received many awards including the Summa Cum Laude Merit Award and Junior Fellow Award from the International Society for Magnetic Resonance in Medicine.
