Course Format
This symposium is designed for gastroenterologists, colorectal surgeons, internists, and other health professionals who participate in the management of this complicated patient population.
Friday evening: Intestinal Ultrasound Workshop, Optional Product Theater Dinner
Saturday: Full-day lecture session
Sunday: Morning half-day lecture session
Course Objectives
Upon completion of this course, attendees will refine their approaches to:
• Correct choice of therapy and adequate monitoring of therapy efficacy among patients with IBD
• Appropriately utilize novel diagnostics including intestinal ultrasound
• The unique challenges for special populations in IBD - pregnant patients, older patients, and LGBTQ patients
• Endpoints of therapy for IBD
• Discussing and incorporating novel therapies and biosimilars with their patients
• Appropriately prescribing dietary therapy for IBD
