UCSF Radiology’s 9th Annual Imaging Research Symposium Set for October 30, 2012!

The UCSF Department of Radiology and Biomedical Imaging will hold its 9th Annual Imaging Research Symposium on October 30, 2012. The Annual Imaging Research Symposium “provides a snapshot of the diversity and depth of the excellence in research in our department,” says Sharmila Majumdar, PhD, Vice Chair of Research.

The Symposium has grown in scope each year, serving as a touchstone for the array of imaging research performed in the department. This year’s oral presentations will begin at 1:00 PM in Cole Hall, and will cover a variety of research topics with a focus on imaging of cancer, the brain, cartilage degeneration, aging, and white matter injury, among other important medical imaging subjects.

The Symposium’s oral component will be followed at 4:30 PM by a large poster session in UCSF’s Millberry Union, where the Bruce Hasegawa Award, in addition to oral presentation and poster awards, will be presented at a catered reception. The Hasegawa award, recognizing the research of an outstanding radiology and biomedical imaging graduate student or postdoctoral scholar, is presented each year at the conclusion of the event.

The Symposium is open to the public. For further information, please see here!
