Community Health Fair Set for June 18!
We wanted to let our readers know about an exciting event coming up on Saturday, June 18. It’s the Mount Zion Community Health Fair, and the campus community, family members and friends are all invited to attend!
The UCSF Department of Radiology & Biomedical Imaging will be there, of course. The “theme” of our booth is Cancer Imaging, and we’ll be highlighting the following service lines:
- Breast imaging
- Lung cancer screening
- Highlight of a new procedure for the treatment of fibroids: High Intensity Focused Ultrasound (HIFU)
- Virtual colonoscopy
We’ll also have a few doctors attending the event, including blog authors Dr. Joe and Dr. Elicker!
At the fair, you will have access to health screenings, educational materials and activities, along with local entertainment and food vendors. The goal of this event is to celebrate, educate and promote good health! Besides our booth, there will be over twenty others featuring various Medical Center clinics and services, including the Bloodmobile, the Division of General Internal Medicine, the Headache Center, the Nutrition Counseling Clinic, the Sleep Disorders Center, the Tobacco Education Center, Women’s Health, and more!
