William Dillon, MD, has agreed to serve as interim chair of the Department of Radiology and Biomedical Imaging, effective October 1, 2017, following the retirement of long-time chair Ron Arenson, MD. The search for a permanent new chair is ongoing, and we hope to be able to make an announcement before the end of the year.

UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital at Mission Bay has introduced a KittenScanner into the pediatric waiting room of the radiology department. It is the latest addition to the department’s commitment to Ambient Experience design, which incorporates lighting, projection and sound to provide positive distractions for patients.
