As we close out the 2019-20 academic year, it’s a great time here at the UC San Francisco Department of Radiology and Biomedical Imaging to celebrate graduates and also see the results from our four T32 scholars.

Myriam Chaumeil PhD's lab is working to develop better and faster ways to image the brain and the way it works using hyperpolarized carbon-13 MR imaging technology.

UC San Francisco is the only JCAHO Comprehensive Stroke Center in San Francisco. What does this mean? According to Steven Hetts, MD, this means that we have extensive capabilities to diagnose and treat all types of strokes.

This year, the department is happy to announce that Lindsay Lawless, RN, was selected as a Daisy Nurse Award recipient.

This study from the UCSF Center for Intelligent Imaging (ci2) is a great example of the use of deep learning methods for new discovery.

Please say thank you to our nurses in the UC San Francisco Department of Radiology and Biomedical Imaging. We are all grateful for your partnership and celebrate Nurses Week together with you in great pride.
