Normal Variants in Radiology That Mimic Disease

Nurdan Çay, MD, PhD is a Professor of Radiology at Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University and Ankara Bilkent City Hospital in Ankara, Türkiye. She received her medical degree from Hacettepe School of Medicine and completed a five-year residency in Diagnostic Radiology at Ankara Atatürk Training and Research Hospital. She earned her PhD in Clinical Anatomy from Ankara University Faculty of Medicine and also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Exercise and Sports Sciences from Istanbul University.

Over the past 13 years, she has specialized in musculoskeletal radiology, authoring or co-authoring 55 publications in international scientific journals, with approximately 800 citations and an h-index of 14. She holds the Board Certificate from the Turkish Society of Radiology and the European Diploma in Radiology (EDiR). Her expertise spans musculoskeletal radiology, ultrasonography, and Doppler ultrasonography. She has also been an invited speaker at national and international conferences.
