Biography

Zehra Akkaya, MD, is a Turkish and European Board-certified radiologist with over 10 years of experience in musculoskeletal radiology. Her research focuses on osteoarthritis imaging and body composition analysis. A full member of the European Society of Radiology and European Society of Skeletal Radiology, she serves as a frequent reviewer for several scientific journals, editorial board member for European Radiology, and junior deputy editor for Insights into Imaging. Currently an associate professor of radiology at Ankara University, she contributes as a consultant researcher at CTMI, following her 2021–2023 Fulbright Postdoctoral Scholarship and UCSF fellowship with Dr. Link.
