Dr. Mohammad Yaqoob Bhat, BS, MS, PhD

Dr. Mohammad Yaqoob Bhat is a multidisciplinary scientist with a PhD in Chemical Biology and extensive training in bio-orthogonal chemistry, organic synthesis, and radiochemistry. His research spans both fundamental and translational science, with expertise in developing novel molecular probes and theranostic agents.
Following his doctoral work, Dr. Bhat is pursing a postdoctoral in Department of Radiology and Biomedical Imaging, University of California, San Francisco focusing on PET, MRI, and NMR-based imaging. His work integrates synthetic chemistry with molecular imaging to enable the detection and tracking of disease-specific biomarkers in vivo. He has contributed to the design and preclinical validation of radiotracers and imaging contrast agents, applying tools from organic synthesis to real-time biological interrogation.
Dr. Bhat’s academic and research trajectory positions him at the interface of chemistry, biology, and medical imaging, making him a valuable contributor to multidisciplinary teams aiming to advance precision medicine.
