She completed neuroradiology fellowships at Barrow Neurologic Institute in Phoenix, Arizona and at UCSF from 1991-93.

Dr. Lindan practiced at Kaiser Permanente in San Francisco from 1993-2019. During this period she always maintained a presence on the volunteer faculty at UCSF, working at Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital (ZSFG) and lecturing to medical students and residents. In 2019, Dr. Lindan returned to UCSF as an active member of the Volunteer Clinical Faculty, practicing neuroradiology and teaching residents and fellows at the Parnassus and Benioff Children’s Hospital Mission Bay campuses. She participates in research studies with faculty and trainees, and especially enjoys making connections to promote multicenter international collaborations.

Dr. Lindan’s primary research interests focus on novel therapeutic approaches to adult and pediatric neurologic disease. She is a co-chair and lead of the joint Gene & Cell Therapy Study Group of the ASNR, ASFNR & ASPNR and a co-chair of the Gene & Cell Therapy Interest Group of the ASPNR. She works as a consultant neuroradiologist for numerous therapy trials targeting disorders ranging from inborn errors of metabolism to neurodegenerative diseases of adulthood. Dr. Lindan has lectured extensively at national meetings, on the role of neuroradiology in novel gene & cell therapies and is an active member of numerous societies including the ASNR, ASPNR, ASFNR, AAN and the ASGCT.
