Access My Patient’s Results

Community physicians are sent patient reports by fax within 3-5 days after completion. To receive a report sooner by fax, please call the Radiology Imaging Library at (415) 353-1640.

Community physicians may access results by same-day messenger or overnight delivery by request.  To request a hard copy report and CD of images, please call the Radiology Imaging Library at (415) 353-1640, 7:00 a.m.–9:30 p.m., seven days a week.

In person

We encourage all UCSF referring physicians to visit our reading room to view images and consult with a radiologist. Please contact the Reading Room Practice Coordinators at (415) 502-4319 or email [email protected].

Online

Images may be viewed online from your office if you have access to Apex or WebPACS (https://webpacs.ucsf.edu/). Instructions for using WebPACS are available at: https://webpacs.ucsf.edu/e/docs/

If you are a UCSF provider, you can login to the WebPACS system using your Medical Center Active Directory credentials. If you encounter problems logging, please page PACS support group at (415) 443-3544 or email: [email protected].

Our Radiology Consultation Service provides official reading for exams performed at facilities outside UCSF. To take advantage of this service, you must complete a requisition form that is signed by the provider and submit the form with your CD or X-Ray films to the Radiology Imaging Library.

The following information must be included on the requisition form.

• Patient name
• Medical record number
• Date of exam requested for second reading
• Type of exam requested for second reading
• Signature of the referring physician
• Your telephone number
• Name and type of insurance company (for example, Aetna PPO)
