Lori Strachowski, MD, and a committee of The Society of Radiologists in Ultrasound published a lexicon of terms for first trimester ultrasound that standardize the medical language, are mindful of patient emotions and expectations and address the current landscape of early pregnancy care in the USA.

The UCSF Department of Radiology and Biomedical Imaging and the Emergency Department (ED) have developed a new communication dashboard within Epic, UCSF’s electronic health record system, allowing efficient communication between care teams.

For more than 20 years, Jessica Pfannenstiel, MS, RT(R)(CT), has seen first-hand how technology advancements continually transform radiology and biomedical imaging. Now, as she steps into a new role – Interim Director of Imaging Quality & Technology – she will partner with radiology faculty to advance UCSF’s leadership in implementing innovative technology.
