PET-CT Human Imaging Core

The VISION PET/CT scanner from Siemens incorporates a digital silicone photomultiplier sensors made of 3.2mm thickness lutetium oxyorthosilicate crystals. These detectors provide a temporal resolution of 214 picoseconds enabling time of flight reconstruction, and a sensitivity at 100 counts per second / kBq.  The bore diameter is 78 cm and the patient bed capacity is 500 pounds.  The axial field of view of the detector is 26.3 cm.  Dedicated technical support staff and a research nurse are available to manage research subjects and to assist users in protocol development.
