Annual Research Conference
This year, UCSF imaging scientists gathered at Chaminade in Santa Cruz for the 11th annual Department of Radiology and Biomedical Imaging research conference. Nearly 100 attendees shared recent findings in posters and power pitches with ample time for building meaningful connections through group activities.
On Sunday, Congyu Liao, PhD, opened the conference with the new faculty presentation Toward Precision Neuroimaging: High-Fidelity Quantitative MRI from 0.55T to 7T. He was followed by David Saloner, PhD, who gave the senior faculty presentation reflecting on his 40-year career in imaging science.
Miki Lustig, professor of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at UC Berkeley, delivered the keynote address, Adventures in Computational MRI, Displacement Spectrum imaging and more.
Attendees heard updates from the research groups and specialized resource groups, and two-minute Power Pitches in which researchers and post-docs shared highlights of their work, which were presented in more detail in the poster session. Thank you to the conference organizing committee for a fantastic agenda.
