Send Images to UCSF Radiology
UCSF Radiology offers patients and healthcare providers a safe and secure way to send medical images electronically.
If you have your non-UCSF Radiology Medical Images on a CD or USB flash drive and have a scheduled UCSF Radiology exam, please click on the “Upload Radiology Exam” link below.
Please note:
- This option is intended to be utilized by patients with a scheduled appointment at UCSF or for healthcare provider office staff.
- Processing the uploaded images could take up to 48 to 72 hours before they are available to UCSF providers.
- Please leave an accurate phone number, as we may need to validate your information on the phone.
Image Upload Instructions
- Click on the "Upload Radiology Exam” button.
- Click on the “Request a Connection” button.
- Fill out the form to request permission to upload your imaging exams and click on the “Send Request” button when done. This will send the request to our department and send you an email confirmation.
- You will receive a welcome email containing an access code and link to get started.
- Click on the link and enter your access code when prompted.
- Put your CD into your CD/DVD drive (Or insert USB drive) and follow the instructions to upload your medical images.
- After the your images have been uploaded, please contact the provider for which these images are intended for and let them know the images have been uploaded.

Receive Images from UCSF Radiology
At Home Full Fidelity DICOM Image Download Instructions
- Log in to your UCSF MyChart Account
- Select “Test Results” from the MyChart Options
- Select the desired Imaging Study to download/export to your computer.
- Scroll down the Imaging Report and select the “Show Images for” link under the Study Images section
- You will be redirected to the eUnity Image viewer.
- Select the Download DICOM Study icon from the viewer toolbar
- Select the Download button to download images to your local computer
- The images will be exported in full-fidelity DICOM to a ZIP file which can be used as desired.
