Delays in Some CT Appointments

Due to a global shortage in IV contrast affecting many medical centers, patients may experience a delay in scheduling a CT appointment which requires IV contrast.

Patients who already have a CT exam with contrast scheduled may have their appointment rescheduled or changed to a different type of exam, such as CT without contrast, ultrasound, or MRI. Patients will hear from UCSF Health Radiology Scheduling or their care team if their exam needs to be rescheduled.

Thank you for your understanding. As always, we are committed to providing UCSF patients with the best possible care.
