The UCSF Osher Center will present a Mini Medical School for the Public, titled “Personalized Medicine Powered by Precision Imaging,” over six Thursday evenings beginning Oct. 12.

UCSF Department of Radiology and Biomedical Imaging's marketing team, responsible for the department’s website, digital efforts and offline tactics, was recognized with two accolades.

In the UCSF Department of Radiology and Biomedical Imaging, the radiology nursing staff is rich with nursing experience, clinical skills and versatility to manage a wide range of responsibilities. However, perhaps the most important trait the radiology nurses bring to the table may be their ability to deliver world-class comfort and safety to patients who undergo diagnostic and therapeutic imaging procedures.

Senator John McCain’s recent glioblastoma diagnosis brings to light the impact of this deadly disease. Unfortunately, glioblastoma, the most aggressive primary brain tumor in adults, also happens to be the most common. And despite improvements in surgical technique and evidence-based therapies, prognosis remains dismal with less than five percent of patients surviving five years beyond diagnosis.

The Department of Radiology and Biomedical Imaging would like to extend a warm welcome to our talented incoming faculty members. We are proud of their accomplishments and look forward to their future contributions as faculty members to our clinical, educational and research endeavors.
