Accreditation Information

Physicians, Physician Assistants
The University of California San Francisco School of Medicine (UCSF) is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education activities for physicians.

UCSF designates each of the programs listed here for a maximum number of Category 1 Credits toward the AMA Physician's Recognition Award. Each physician should claim credit commensurate with the extent of his/her participation in the activity.

Nurses
For the purposes of recertification, the American Nurses Credentialing Center accepts AMA PRA Category 1 Credit issued by organizations accredited by the ACCME.

Technologists and Sonographers
Some Radiology Postgraduate programs, where indicated, are approved by the American Society of Radiologic Technologists (ASRT) for Category A credit.

While not endorsed by the ARDMS, ultrasound content in programs listed here approved for AMA PRA credit will be accepted toward meeting the continuing education requirements of the ARDMS.

Self-assessment questions, answers and discussion have been designed to meet the standards of the American Board of Radiology (ABR) for self-assessment modules (SAMs).
