- Closed systems have better performance than open systems
- High Field Strength (1.5T, 3.0T)
- Dedicated breast coil
- MRI (no radiation)
- Prone positioning (breast hang freely so there is no distortion)
- Feet first entry reduces claustrophobia
- Intravenous Gadolinium contrast
- High resolution scans
