Course Format and Faculty

Full-day sessions Monday through Thursday from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, half-day session on Friday from 8:00 am to 12:30 pm.
Registration is limited to 30 persons to allow for questions, discussion and exchange between attendees and faculty.

This course is designed to be a comprehensive review of both basic vascular and non-vascular interventional procedures, as well as emerging areas of interventional radiologic practice.  The review will cover all common interventional procedures and will focus on indications, pre-procedural assessment, technical aspects of procedures, and post-procedural follow-up.

Lecture topics to include:  MRA, CTA, Arterial Intervenetions, Peripheral PTA, Arterial Vascular Interventions,
Coronary CTA, Portal Venous Interventions, TIPS, Percutaneous Ablation, Vertebroplasty, Carotid Interventions,
Aortic Stent Grafting, Percutaneous Biopsy, UFE, IVC Filters, Abscess Drainage.

The course should be suitable for radiologists actively practicing interventional radiology, and newly qualified interventional radiologists wanting to enhance their knowledge and training.  This course is focused primarily on body interventions (rather than neuro).

The Laurel Inn is located one block from the UCSF Laurel Heights campus, which is an inter-campus shuttle stop that connects to the UCSF Parnassus Campus.  The shuttle runs about every 20 minutes from 7 am to 8 pm, and the ride is approximately 10-15 minutes (two miles).  The Inn is in the north part of the city near the Presidio and Pacific Heights, and near a shopping plaza which offers cafes, shops and grocery stores.
