The UCSF Department of Radiology and Biomedical Imaging's Radiology Residency Program has been recognized as the top radiologist training program by Aunt Minnie.

Ruth Goldstein, MD has had a tremendous career with the UC San Francisco Department of Radiology and Biomedical Imaging. Join us in congratulating Ruth on her well-deserved retirement. We are fortunate that Dr. Goldstein has returned part-time after a brief break. 

The UCSF Department of Radiology and Biomedical Imaging's Diagnostic Radiology Residency Program is top-ranked in the country for the fifth consecutive year, according to Doximity's 2018-2019 Residency Program Navigator. 

Bhavya Rehani, MD, William Dillon, MD and Ankur Bharija, MD came to together to create Health4theworld which uses innovative technology for social good. This project was recently honored with a premier business award.

The UC San Francisco Department of Radiology and Biomedical Imaging is pleased to announce Sabrina Ronen, PhD and Spencer Behr, MD as the new Director and Associate Director of the Precision Imaging of Cancer and Therapy (PICT) Program at UCSF.

The UC San Francisco Department of Radiology and Biomedical Imaging hosted its commencement on June 8th, 2018. Faculty, alumni and trainees were awarded. 

Steven Hetts, MD has been appointed by the Systemwide Faculty Senate to be the Faculty Representative to the UC Regents Health Services Committee for 2018-2020.

Javier Villanueva-Meyer, MD has been selected as a John A. Watson Faculty Scholar effective July 1, 2018.

Michael D. Hope, MD has been appointed as the new Chief of Radiology at the San Francisco VA Medical Center, effective March 1, 2018.

Dr. Michael Evans was recently awarded a research grant that aims to develop new drugs to more effectively treat or eliminate tuberous sclerosis complex, or TSC. The research team has developed an innovative strategy that will allow them to screen for antibody fragments specific for cells lacking TSC1 or TSC2.
